A few days inside the insurance world: the 21st annual Funk Alliance Conference was held in Hamburg, Germany, from 27–29 May 2026, once again bringing together a large number of insurance professionals from around the globe. Representing Firstbrokers at the event were CEO Jaava Myllyniemi and International Account Manager Kristina Kreisberg, who actively networked with international partners and followed the latest developments and trends within the industry.
This year’s three-day conference programme focused particularly on market developments, customer insight, and professional development. Topics included consolidation within the insurance brokerage market, clients’ perspectives on collaboration, and the growing influence of women in the international insurance brokerage sector. The programme also featured a highly engaging session led by Dr. Julia Shaw, who introduced participants to the workings of memory and the use of effective storytelling techniques in professional communication.
As is tradition, the conference provided excellent opportunities for participants to exchange experiences and strengthen international connections. The programme included joint dinner events as well as more informal networking opportunities, which further enhanced cooperation among Funk Alliance members and supported the sharing of knowledge across borders.
